How to Share Your Accredited Certificates and Qualifications Using Your NSW USI

By the end of this guide, you’ll have three ways to share your VET transcript with employers:

  1. A PDF file
  2. A secure URL link
  3. A QR code (great for mobile users)

Step 1 – Log In

Step 2 – Access Your Transcript

Step 3 – Select Transcripts

  • You’ll see a list of available transcripts.
  • By default, everything is ticked. You can untick items you don’t want to share, but it’s usually best to leave all selected.

Step 4 – Choose Your Sharing Options

Click “Download Transcript” (blue button, top-left).
You’ll then have two options:

  • Option A: PDF only
    • Select “No” when asked about creating an online transcript.
    • This will generate a PDF only.
    • You can skip step 7 if this is what you want.
  • Option B: Online transcript + PDF
    • Select “Yes” to create an online transcript.
    • Choose a time limit (maximum: 6 months).
    • Click “Next.”
    • Confirm your selection in the pop-up by clicking “Continue.”

Step 5 – Download the PDF

  • Your browser will download the PDF transcript.
  • It may take a few moments, depending on your internet speed.
  • The file will usually be named after you and saved in your Downloads folder.

Step 6 – Share Digitally

Open the PDF and scroll to the second-last page.
You’ll find:

  • A secure URL link for employers to view your transcript online.
  • A QR code, which automatically fills in the details for them.

Done! You now have:

  • A PDF transcript
  • A URL link
  • A QR code

Employers can choose whichever method suits them best.
