By the end of this guide, you’ll have three ways to share your VET transcript with employers:
- A PDF file
- A secure URL link
- A QR code (great for mobile users)
Step 1 – Log In
- Go to the USI Portal here: https://www.usi.gov.au/login
- You can also log in through MyGovif you’ve linked the USI service.
Step 2 – Access Your Transcript
- In the USI Student Portal, click “View VET Transcript.”
- Direct link (works if logged in): View Transcript https://portal.usi.gov.au/student/Transcripts/Confirmation.
- Read and accept the disclaimer.
- Click the blue “Next” button (bottom-left of the window).
Step 3 – Select Transcripts
- You’ll see a list of available transcripts.
- By default, everything is ticked. You can untick items you don’t want to share, but it’s usually best to leave all selected.
Step 4 – Choose Your Sharing Options
Click “Download Transcript” (blue button, top-left).
You’ll then have two options:
- Option A: PDF only
- Select “No” when asked about creating an online transcript.
- This will generate a PDF only.
- You can skip step 7 if this is what you want.
- Option B: Online transcript + PDF
- Select “Yes” to create an online transcript.
- Choose a time limit (maximum: 6 months).
- Click “Next.”
- Confirm your selection in the pop-up by clicking “Continue.”
Step 5 – Download the PDF
- Your browser will download the PDF transcript.
- It may take a few moments, depending on your internet speed.
- The file will usually be named after you and saved in your Downloads folder.
Step 6 – Share Digitally
Open the PDF and scroll to the second-last page.
You’ll find:
- A secure URL link for employers to view your transcript online.
- A QR code, which automatically fills in the details for them.
✅ Done! You now have:
- A PDF transcript
- A URL link
- A QR code
Employers can choose whichever method suits them best.
