Who we are

Digineaux is an Australian business operating https://digineaux.com, including our online store, software distribution, and blog.

For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact [email protected].

Purchases and customer accounts

When you purchase physical products, software, or other digital products, our WooCommerce store collects information needed to process your order. This may include your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, phone number, products purchased, and payment transaction details.

We use this information to:

  • Process payments and fulfil orders.
  • Deliver physical products and provide digital downloads.
  • Issue invoices and maintain accounting records.
  • Send necessary communications about your purchase.
  • Provide support and handle refunds, complaints, and disputes.
  • Prevent fraud and meet applicable legal obligations.

Our store may use your IP address or supplied location to estimate taxes and shipping. Cookies maintain your shopping cart and customer session.

If you create an account, our website stores your username, account credentials, contact details, and any profile or address information you provide. Your account may also contain your order history and access to purchased downloads.

You can update information available through your account settings or contact us for assistance. If you do not provide information needed to complete a purchase, we may be unable to fulfil it.

Payments

We accept payments through PayPal and Stripe. Where WooPayments is offered at checkout, payments are handled through WooPayments, an Automattic service built in partnership with Stripe.

The selected payment service receives information needed to process your payment, prevent fraud, and support refunds or disputes. This may include your contact and billing details, purchase amount, currency, and transaction information.

Our payment integrations send full card numbers and card security codes to the payment provider rather than storing them in our website database. Our store retains transaction records and may retain payment references and limited payment-method details.

See the PayPal Privacy Statement, Stripe Privacy Policy, and Automattic Privacy Policy for these providers’ practices.

Comments and reviews

When you leave a comment or review, we collect the information entered in the form, together with your IP address and browser information to help detect spam.

Approved comments and reviews are publicly visible, including your chosen display name and any website link or profile image displayed with them. Please avoid including information you do not want others to see.

We use Akismet to identify spam. Submitted content and associated information, such as your name, email address, website address, IP address, browser information, and referring page, may be sent to Akismet for checking. See Akismet’s privacy information.

Where profile images are provided through Gravatar, a hash derived from your email address may be sent to that service to retrieve your image. The image may appear publicly alongside your approved comment. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy.

Contact and support

If you contact us, we receive the contact details, message, and attachments you provide. We use this information to respond and assist you.

Our contact email uses Gmail, so correspondence is also processed by Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Please do not send passwords, full payment card details, or unnecessary sensitive information.

Hosting, security, and tax calculation

Our website is hosted by SkyRack, which states that its website hosting, databases, and hosting backups are located in Australia.

Hosting involves storing website information and processing technical records needed to deliver and maintain the service. See SkyRack’s Privacy Policy and hosting location information.

We use Imunify Security, provided by CloudLinux, to help protect the website. Depending on enabled security features, website traffic and security events may be analysed using information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser details, and request information. See CloudLinux’s Clients Privacy Policy.

We use WooCommerce Tax for automated tax calculations. Its services involve Automattic and TaxJar and may process cart value, shipping value, and destination address. See WooCommerce Shipping & Tax privacy information.

Google services

We use Google Site Kit to connect our website to Google Analytics, Search Console, and PageSpeed Insights.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website and to improve its content and operation.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to process information such as pages viewed, interactions, referring websites, browser and device details, and approximate location.

You can manage cookies through your browser and use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Search Console and PageSpeed Insights

We use Search Console to review our website’s performance in Google Search, including search queries, impressions, clicks, and search positions.

We use PageSpeed Insights to assess website speed and performance. Its Site Kit module does not add visitor tracking code to our website. Reports use performance testing and, where available, aggregated real-world browser performance data.

See Google’s explanation of these Site Kit services.

Google AdSense

We plan to display advertisements through Google AdSense. The following applies when AdSense is enabled on our website.

Google and participating advertising vendors may use cookies to display advertisements based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalise advertisements. Advertising technologies also support measurement and fraud prevention.

You can opt out of personalised Google advertising through Google Ad Settings. You may also manage participating third-party vendors’ personalised advertising through YourAdChoices. These choices do not necessarily stop all advertising-related data processing.

When Google analytics or advertising services load, your browser may send Google information such as the page URL and your IP address.

See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from websites that use its services.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for shopping carts, customer sessions, login, saved preferences, payment processing, and enabled analytics and advertising services.

WordPress’s standard cookies include:

  • Optional comment cookies that remember your name, email address, and website for one year.
  • A temporary login-page cookie that expires when you close your browser.
  • Login cookies that normally last two days, or two weeks when you select “Remember Me”.
  • Display-preference cookies that last one year.
  • For users who edit or publish articles, a cookie identifying the edited post that expires after one day.

WooCommerce and external services use additional cookies with lifetimes determined by their functions and settings.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect checkout, login, and other website features. Google-related choices are described above.

Other disclosures and public content

Relevant recipient and delivery information is shared with the carrier used to ship your physical order.

Authorised website administrators and people assisting with orders or support can access information needed for those tasks.

We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.

If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email.

Blog posts may include embedded videos, images, or other content from external websites. Those providers may collect information, set cookies, and track your interaction, including associating it with an account you hold with them. Their own privacy policies apply.

If you upload publicly accessible images, visitors may be able to download them and extract embedded metadata, including GPS location information. Remove sensitive metadata before uploading.

Storage and retention

Information is held in our website database, invoice records, relevant correspondence, and systems operated by our service providers.

We retain invoices and associated accounting records for at least five years, and longer where required by applicable tax or other legal obligations.

Other information is retained according to its purpose, including maintaining customer accounts, providing purchase history and downloads, supporting published discussions, responding to enquiries, and addressing security or legal matters. Comments, reviews, and related moderation information may be retained indefinitely.

You can contact us to request deletion. Information required for accounting, legal obligations, unresolved disputes, or security matters may need to be retained.

Deleted information may remain in hosting backups until those backups expire. SkyRack publishes a backup schedule that includes some backups retained for up to six months. See SkyRack’s backup information.

Although our website hosting is in Australia, international providers may process information overseas, including in the United States and Ireland, and other countries described in their privacy policies.

Access, correction, deletion, and complaints

Contact [email protected] to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to raise a privacy concern.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will explain any relevant limits on access, correction, or deletion.

Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights concerning your information.

For a complaint, please describe your concern and the outcome you are seeking. We will investigate and aim to respond within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will let you know.

Where your complaint falls within its jurisdiction, you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, products, services, or data practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised date, and we will provide additional notice where required.
